Another man shared; "We feel like newborn children today; now our parents have come to see their children. We have always felt like outcasts and orphans, but now we feel like we have a family. For more than thirty years, no one has come to visit us here."
We gave out over 100 blankets to the gathered residents, who came up to receive them one by one as the colony leader called the roll. Then we distributed New Testaments, tracts, and Gospel of Mark booklets to those who could read, encouraging them to read the Scriptures to the others. The lepers were very appreciative of these gifts and told us they would gather together to pray and read their Bibles.
