Children's Bible Camp

Pastor Britto and Lowell sharing with the children the
hope of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Independent Church In India held a half-day children's Bible camp at the Dindigul church on the day before Easter. They provided transportation from five villages for all the children whose parents would allow them to attend. These special times are very encouraging to the children, because it allows them to have a day of fun, to take a break from the constant struggles of the hard village life which most of them continually experience.

It may be one of the few days each year they actually enjoy. The children will attend in their best clothes with huge smiles on their faces, for a time of learning about the Lord through songs, Bible lessons, skits, movies, and games. At this Bible camp, emphasis was on the resurrection. The Gospel message was given, and many of the children responded to the good news.

Over 120 kids plus adults crammed
in at the Dindigal church.

Hope in Jesus where there
once was no hope.

Before leaving, each child got a hot lunch, a notebook, a pencil, and crayons. Many have parents too poor to even buy their child a notebook for school. Over 120 children crammed into the church. Even though it was very hot, the children didn't mind. They are already begging ICII to have another Bible camp very soon.

Future Goals

Independent Church In India has a great desire to start much more children's ministry in the near future to share the love of Jesus and to build orphanages to provide loving homes for those who have lost their parents and all hope in life.
