In the southern part of India in Tamil Nadu, God is revealing Himself and is using Independent Church in India (ICII) in the midst of this utter hopelessness to joyfully proclaim the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in the towns and remote villages and everywhere the Lord leads them to find the lost and hurting souls. Independent Church in India reached the tsunami survivors who were in uttermost despair, hundreds of survivors were touched and committed their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ. Hundreds of children are taught the Bible each week and ICII is bringing hope to those who were once with out hope. Watch rare shocking footage on those stricken with the dreaded disease of leprosy, and how the Lord is bringing revival and new life and hope to those lepers who are known as outcasts or untouchables by society.

THE HARD LIFE OF AN ORPHAN IN INDIA
Many of the orphanages in India are called government hostels, which unfortunely are not always a very pleasant place for the children to live. They are fed mostly cheap white rice diets, and they must work hard, and hostel workers will often beat the children for very small reasons. Many of these children get sick often because of lack of care and not enough nutrition in their diets. If an orphan child does not live at a hostel, then manywill live on the streets begging for someone to have mercy on them to give them food.
Sometimes their remaining relatives who do not want to take responsibility for a child, may send them to work as early as seven years old. If this happens, the child will have to work hard at jobs others do not want, such as cleaning up cow waste, and other unsanitary jobs. This may still only allow them to eat once a day. Independent Church in India wants to make a big difference in these children's lives.

Here is some of the things we want to offer these precious children:
· Christ's love with lots of tender care
· Bible teaching and godly upbringing
· a healthy diet
· medical provision
· education
· clothes
· toys
Not only will they get a healthy and balanced diet, but also education, medical provision, toys, and clothing. These orphan children are desperately starving for love and acceptance. At their new home we will make sure they receive the love and care they so much deserve. We will diligently teach them about the Lord Jesus Christ and how to live a godly life in Him. This home will provide for twenty-four children, twelve boys and twelve girls, as we get sponsors for them. This building can also be added on to in the future to give more homes for orphans. We will give them lots of love and tender care. Our goal is to adopt orphan children from both the tsunami disaster area and remote village areas that have lost both of their parents, or that have been abandoned, which also unfortunely happens quite often in India.

LESS THAN $6000 TO COMPLETE THE WHOLE ORPHANAGE PROJECT
One concern we have about adopting children from the tsunami area, we must finish the orphanage quickly before any of these children are forced into child labor or other unpleasant situations.
To completely finish this whole project it will only cost about $5,900. For the building supplies for the main construction will cost $1,500, electrical wiring will cost $1,250, plumbing and a deep well system $2,000, and for painting $1,150.

"When Lowell and I started working with ICII three years ago, the Lord put the burden in our hearts to help them build their orphanage. In the past, before meeting ICII, I would never have imagined the Lord would use us to help to build an orphanage because I always thought of very large expenses. But here in India, according to American standards to buy a piece of land and build an orphanage has become a reality and it can be done for around one fourth of the price of an average American home for one family to live. But far more are the awards that go along with this, to help innocent precious children that have nowhere to turn and to give them the love of Jesus that they are desperately searching for".
If anyone would desire to donate a thousand or more dollars for this project we will put your name on a plaque that will be hung up in the orphanage to keep in remembrance of you so the children can pray for you daily. After this home is provided for, each child will need a sponsor each month. A stove, cooking supplies, bunk beds, and a refrigerator are some of the things the orphanage will need after being built.
Please pray how the Lord would have you get involved in this home of refuge and for these children who are so special in Jesus' eyes. We may not be able to rescue every child, but we can start reaching out to twenty-four of these precious children. Each day that goes by, there is a child that is alone suffering, hungry, feeling rejected, and without any hope for his or her future. Together, we can give these orphans a new happiness in this life, and hope for eternal life. Help us put a smile on their empty faces by helping us to soon finish this loving home for them. You can be a big part of changing lives today...
