Many of the lepers are praying to accept Christ after they
hear Pastor Richard and Pastor Britto share the Gospel.

My heart was very terribly grieved as we ministered at a leprosy colony. I cry everytime I think about these lepers. People had missing fingers and toes, also deformed faces. But the good news was that many of them, when they saw our team, they said "Praise the Lord"! It was all because of Independent Church preaching the Gospel to them in the past. They are currently the only ministry evangelizing these lepers and they must travel ten hours to reach them! No distance will stop them from

preaching the Gospel. Without this ministry of "Independent Church in India" these people would have never heard the Gospel. We are praying desperately for the Lord to provide Bibles, medical supplies, clothes, and good food for these lepers.
We are so excited about this ministry! In the ten days that we were there we traveled from morning to night visiting many villages and churches but we still did not see nearly all of their ministry, so we will be going back again very soon. We were so impressed by how God is using them. For example, in the time that we were there we saw hundreds of children. These children in the villages knew Bible songs, Bible verses, how to pray, and the Gospel. It was all because of Independent Church faithfully evangelizing them and following-up as they try to return and minister to them as often as possible.

I was touched by the deep love that these pastors and team workers had for the children. As I seen the joy on hundreds of children’s faces when they heard about Jesus,
I could rejoice because
I knew that “Independent Church In India” was making a difference in the lives of so many that had once had no hope.

One of their goals is to reach twenty villages a day! The only way that this can be done is if they have more vehicles. If they have a four-wheel drive they can reach the villages that cannot be reached by regular roads, because the roads are very rough in India. One day we visited a tribal group. This was a whole day trip. We traveled through the rockiest roads. It was a miracle that the small vehicle we were traveling in packed with eight of us did not break down.

After traveling for a few hours this way and up high mountains, we then traveled on foot for many miles to reach a place that they had preached the Gospel once before. This would be the second time that they had visited this tribal group and the people were very happy and receptive to hear the Gospel. Next time they visit we are praying that the Lord will provide Bibles and more clothing to give them. I have many more exciting things to share, but overall I am asking for your prayers for our ministry partners.

In spite of the anti-conversion law in Tamil Nadu they are winning multitudes of desperate souls into the glorious kingdom. Please pray for their safety and that God will continue to hide their work from the law. We have a great burden to raise prayer and financial support for this ministry so they can continue the Lord’s work at even a faster rate. Our hearts desire is to see these Indian people saved out of the terrible idol worship to which they are in bondage.

After hearing the Gospel a tribal youth prays along with many others to receive Christ.
