Saved and Healed!

One young woman named Amutha, after hearing the Gospel during the first visit, had later accepted the Lord. She shared with the Gospel team that her son had become sick, but she remembered in her heart to pray for his healing. Her child completely recovered!

When the Gospel team gave the altar call at Perumal Patti for anyone to receive the Lord Jesus, Kala did not come to the front because of fear of the people in her village. Instead, she accepted the Lord quietly in her heart. Afterwards, Kala gave prayer requests to Pastor Britto and Kathy to pray for her healing from the fevers she was getting very often. The fevers were making her so weak that she could not keep a permanent job. Her parents were also unable to work because of their old age. Kala testified,

I believe Jesus will heal me and give me the strength to work and will open the door for a job. I prayed to God with tears asking my Lord, I am your child open the door for the job within this week, surely I will love you for the rest of my life.

Within the same week, Kala shared that God did a miracle in her life and opened the door for her to get a job. Now she is working and also feeling healthy enough to keep working. After she heard the Gospel and prayed, the Lord healed her from the fevers she had been tormented with. We give all the glory and honor to our Lord who is adding people to his kingdom in India. Kala continuously comes to the church now.

Jesus Heals the Broken Hearted!

Sellammal, a widow from this same village, was desperately trying to get peace in her heart by worshipping idols, but she could get no peace this way. On the first day the Gospel team had been at her village, Sellammal shared with them, "I am feeling empty in my life. Everywhere I am getting failures, and in my heart I am not willing to live in this world because of worries. My two sons and daughter, and my relations all hate me". Sellammal began coming to church after hearing the Gospel, and after a week she shared during the testimony time in the church.

"Last week I came with worries and burdens and an empty life. But after I accepted the Lord I am now feeling peace in my heart. Jesus is the Lord, He is living and He is working in my life. I will follow Jesus all of my life and He will be my guide. Even though my relatives forgot me, I know that Jesus loves me" Sellammal is attending the service every Sunday and hearing the word of God to grow in the Lord.

Perumal Patti is only one of the many villages in which the Lord Jesus Christ is bringing salvation and changing countless lives for His glory. Independent Church in India has a goal to reach twenty villages per day. Please pray that the Lord will enable them to accomplish this mission and many more souls will be added to the kingdom.
