When I hear the Word of God I have never felt that much comfort in my life...

For His Purpose...
My name is Alaghammal. I am an orphan. The only relative that was caring for us has just recently died also. I and my younger sister live in a small tent. We are suffering a lot. We have no money or anything. In my heart, I was feeling very sad. I learned that there was a free tailoring school, so I decided to go, so I could learn this trade. I began coming to the tailoring school, and I have already sold some clothing. The Bible classes are helping me when I am feeling alone and sad. When I hear the Word of God I have never felt that much comfort in my life.

I believe that God brought me to this tailoring school for His purpose, and to provide me to learn. I now realize that I need to take care of my younger sister, and I have the hope that I can provide our needs. Now only I am caring for my sister. I am so proud of this tailoring school and to hear God’s word, because it has brought me from death and is giving life to me.

A New Life In Christ...
Her name is Kavitha. She told Independent Church In India that she had no peace in her life. She felt that she did not want to live instead she would rather die. Kavitha began coming to this Tailoring School and God is now changing her life. She has accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and He is working in her life. Her mother does not approve of her coming to the tailoring school or church so she has beaten her for it. Kavitha asked in tears for Independent Church to pray for her and the situation. That next week God already answered her prayers and she came with some of her family members. Each week she is bringing people to church. She is desperately praying for her whole family to get saved. Kavitha shares: “Because I am reading the Bible my mother is always putting off the light, but I will go out from the house and read the bible from the street light. If I don’t read the Bible for even one day I am feeling that something is missing in my life. After God filled my heart now I do not want to die instead I want to live for Jesus.

A Useful Life For God...
My name is Panjo. I just finished school and I didn’t have any work. In my heart I thought that I was useless, but through the Bible classes at the Tailoring School I found out that I am useful to God. I am learning how I can walk with the Lord and how I can live a holy life and have peace. I am now coming every day, and I need to walk almost three miles to get here. I thank God for this Tailoring School.

When we go into the remote villages to preach the Gospel, we saw many women who were sitting around without any hope. So we felt in our heart to start the tailoring school to give them hope for their future, and the hope of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Many women do not have any job, so they feel sad and unhappy. We want to bring the Gospel to them so Jesus can deliver them from their darkness...

When the tailoring school students were asked if the Bible studies were helping them grow in the Christian life, they responded with joy.
