Reaping the Harvest...

... by Kathy A Smith

After hearing the good news of the Gospel, these people at a remote village are asking Jesus Christ into their hearts.

Independent Church in India is reaping a harvest of souls for God’s kingdom. Each day the Gospel team is diligently obeying the Lord's last command by preaching the Gospel and teaching the saints. They are reaching the remote villages where they have never heard the name of Jesus even one time. After preaching the Gospel, they are returning to many of the same villages to have Bible studies and prayer meetings to equip the new believers in the word of God, and to pray for their needs.

Film Outreach

Two weeks before Christmas, Independent Church showed the Jesus film through their God-given new video projector eight times.

During these two weeks, an average of one hundred to two hundred people would come and see the movie in each village. During this two week period over two hundred and fifty people willingly accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior! We rejoice in this fruitful movie outreach to the villages!

At this village, over two hundred people came to see the Jesus film and around seventy-five people
willingly accepted the Lord!

Christmas Service

At the Christmas service, the new believers performed the skit of the birth of Jesus. The new tailoring school students and some of the new youth believers practiced and prepared to share about their Lord and Savior on Christmas day. Many relatives of these new believers and tailoring school girls came to the service to watch the skit on the birth of Christ. The church was so full that some of the people had to sit outside the church! After hearing the Christmas message and hearing the Gospel, Pastor Richard gave the altar call and about thirty people willingly accepted the Lord.

The Christmas service was so full inside their Vadipatti Church that some of the people had to sit outside.
