A Village Without a Hindu Priest
In a past newsletter, we shared briefly about Jayakumar; a Hindu priest that willingly accepted the Lord. When Independent Church In India's team shared the Gospel at his village named Thathem Patti and gave the alter call, no one listening came forth, because they knew their Hindu priest was in the crowd, but the Lord touched the Hindu priest and he gave his life joyfully to the Lord.
The Lord reaped a mighty harvest at this village called Roja-colony. After these people heard the Gospel for the very first time, many in this crowd accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts and lives.
Jayakumar is now attending the Bible studies that the pastors are having at his village. Jayakumar is telling others in his village that He loves Jesus, and that Jesus is the only true God! Most every village in India has a Hindu priest to lead the people into the idol worship, but for the last eight months this village has had no Hindu priest! We give all glory to our Lord Jesus Christ, the One true God!

Hearing the Name of Jesus the First Time...
One early afternoon, Independent Church In India’s team shared the Gospel to an elderly husband and wife in a village named Otta-patti.. After hearing the Gospel for the first time in their lives they both gladly accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior.
| With tears of joy, the wife shared: "We don’t have anyone in this world, but now only Jesus Christ. I believe He is the only one that can deliver us and heal my husband’s lame legs. Only now after hearing about Jesus Christ, He is putting this grace on our lives. We have eight children but they are not caring for us.Now we feel that Jesus Christ is the only one who can care and provide for us. From this day forth I am going to share with all my children about Jesus Christ". |
Both husband and wife are asking Jesus to
be the Lord and Savior of their lives.
"From this day forth I am going to share with all my children about Jesus Christ..."
Her husband also shared: “now onwards, we are trusting Jesus. We are now feeling the peace in our lives”.
